ROGER SUMMERS MEMORIAL LIONS PARK

Public BBQ

There's something wonderfully civilized about a park that exists primarily to help weary ferry passengers collect themselves between journeys. Roger Summers Memorial Lions Park occupies that sweet spot where practicality meets serendipity - a modest beachside refuge where Cronulla's ferry refugees can grab a bite and contemplate the water while waiting for their maritime chariot home. The park doesn't pretend to be more than it is: a small, honest stretch of grass with a playground and prime water views. But sometimes that's exactly what you need - a place to decompress after navigating Bundeena's charms, perhaps with a takeaway lunch and the satisfying knowledge that your return ferry won't leave without a proper goodbye to this pocket of coastal calm.
